Which class is best for my child?

Babies: Birth-8 months

There are two options for you; you and your child may participate in the Babes in Arms music class or the Mommy/Daddy & Me music class.

Babies and Toddlers: Birth-5 years

You and your child/children may participate in the Mommy/Daddy & Me music class.

Children: 3-5 years

Your child should attend the Pre-School Music class.

Mommy/Daddy & Me

Our Mommy/Daddy & Me class is designed for children from birth up to 5 years of age and is perfect for a family with multiple children under the age of 5. Children in this 45-minute weekly class will learn music through singing, listening, playing, moving, improvising, and exploring--all while having fun! Having a mixed-age class is beneficial to everyone. Younger children will enjoy watching and imitating the older children, while the older children will learn valuable leadership skills by being their guide. Even though there are mixed ages, the children will learn and participate at their own level. Any caregivers--parents, grandparents, nanny, etc.--can participate with the children.

Pre-School Music

Weekly Pre-School Music classes are 45 minutes long for children ages 3-5. Children will learn to sing a variety of songs, will explore the use of various instruments, and participate in movement and listening activities which are age-appropriate. These activities will support the children's continued growth in tonality and rhythm basics of music. They will also cultivate their improvisational skills both in musical and literary fields. This is also a great preparation class for children who wish to continue on with piano and/or voice lessons as they grow. Developmentally appropriate music theory and application will be presented in fun and exciting ways. While learning, they will enjoy the fun, and sometimes silly, songs!

What better time to expose your infant to the benefits of music than from birth? This weekly 30-minute class is offered for babies from birth through 8 months of age. The music activities in this class are specifically designed for parents who want to learn more about how music effects babies and enriches their development. In this class, you, as a parent or caregiver, will learn fabulous music activities that you can take home with you!
