A typical class day...

In a typical Music 4 Life class, the teachers will use a variety of techniques appropriate for each age group from birth through 5 years of age. Methods used in the class will include those of renowned music educators Kodaly (including the use of Solfege) and Orff. The main instrument for instruction will be the voice because everyone has one and can learn how to use it. Secondary instruments will primarily include non-pitched percussion instruments.

The children will not only learn fun songs during their class time, they will also enjoy listening to music to help train their ears for cognitive development. During these listening exercises, they will enjoy moving their bodies to the music. They will also have the opportunity at every class to improvise on various instruments in the classroom.
